1998 Glastron GS249 in Jade/White. Fitted with a 5.0 Volvo Penta petrol engine (225bhp) with only 227 hours. Cobra Sx leg with new alluminium anodes and new torq-flo prop fitted, all bellows and seals look in good condition. The boat has just been newly re-upholstered in pure white and looks stunning. This model has back-to-back seating which converts into a full length double sun lounger or occassional bed. It has a single, swivelling, captains seat. The cockpit has just been fitted with new 'pop in' carpets in grey. All instrumentation, lighting, navigation etc working. Not working is the horn and the leg position indicator. It is fitted with a working Humminbird b/w fish finder.
The engine bay and bilges present very well and the batteries are holding their charge well, the engine fires on first turn of the key and new throttle/drive selector cables have just been fitted, so work very smoothly. Shore power connection is fitted in the cockpit area to a double 13amp RCD outlet in the cabin, additional spurs could be easily run from this to battery chargers etc. if needed.
The cabin presents very well with no rips or marks on the cloth upholstery. There is a 'V' berth with inset as is typical with this type of cabin. there is a full double birth aft with covered mattress and courtesy light. There is a fridge cool box fitted, ample storage including hanging wardrobe and four large cubbies under the 'V' berth. There is pressurised water to the galley, shower and a transom shower, with the facility to run hot water if required. the heads are hand pumped with a holding tank. We have just fitted a new shower sump pump although the shower will need an inner curtain. There is a stereo radio/sisc player fitted and speakers in both the main cabin and cockpit. The headlining is in very good condition with only some light blemishes. The galley area is unmarked and cupboards and cutlery tray are fitted. Cooking is via a spirit stove upon which the burners look un-used. All the switch panel functions are working without any problems.
Outside the gel coat and overall condition is very good with only minor blemishes to both the white and jade. There is only one small stress mark that I can see. There are plenty of cleats along the sides, forward navigation lights and external capping for fuel, water and waste on the stbd side. It is a 'walkround' as well as through screen for forward deck access, all the seals and clips are in good condition. Anchor and warp are present as is forward locker for same. To the rear is a towing eye for skiing/water toys etc as wella s wide swim platform and access ladder. It has a white camper/bimini top in good condition with no broken poppers or zips. The boat benefit from a full UK boat safety certificate just issued, so four years to run.
The boat comes with a galvanised twin axle trailer ideal for launching and storage. All in all this a great weekender boat for little money. it presents VERY well and anyone would be proud to be seen out in it with their friends. We are only selling it as we had a very good offer on a boat we had wanted for some time but was outside our budget. |
